Madden fans always have those few teams they can’t wait to play with. It might be a team that signed a few big name free agents, or it might be a team that experts predict will have a great season. Maybe it’s a team that drafted well, or it might just be a perennial powerhouse. Whatever the reason, Madden 18 will not be any different. So today, we’re giving you our most popular teams to use in Madden 18.
Las Vegas/Oakland Raiders
The Oakland/soon to be Las Vegas Raiders are quickly becoming one of the hottest teams in the NFL as well as Madden. The Raiders made a huge off-season splash by signing Marshawn Lynch. Lynch’s nickname Beast Mode is synonymous with Madden, and he’ll be one of the first players we go look at after getting the game home and loaded up. The Raiders also feature one of the highest rated DE’s in the game with Khalil Mack. Add in Derek Carr running the show at QB, and the Raiders come into the new season as one of the most popular teams to use in Madden 18.
New Orleans Saints
The Saints make our list based mostly on the Adrian Peterson signing a few weeks ago. Peterson has always been one of the most popular backs to use in Madden, so it makes sense that fans can’t wait to see what both he and Drew Brees can do together. The New Orleans Saints did lose their top WR Brandin Cooks to New England, but the Peterson signing more than made up for that in the eyes of Madden players. Be ready to face New Orleans as they’ll likely be one the most popular teams to use in Madden 18.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tampa has been teasing Madden fans for a couple of seasons. We keep waiting for Jameis Winston to have a big break-out season, but it just hasn’t happened to this point. Maybe the additions of WR Desean Jackson and rookie TE OJ Howard will help, but Tampa will be one of the more intriguing teams to start Madden 18. With weapons at QB, WR, TE, and RB, Tampa Bay is likely to be one the most popular teams to use in Madden 18.
Atlanta Falcons
No, we’re not just listing off the entire NFC South. It just so happens that the South houses three of our most popular teams to use in Madden 18. In all seriousness, we can’t in good conscience leave Atlanta off of this list. They have the reigning MVP in QB Matt Ryan, a top notch RB with Devonta Freeman, and they also have perhaps the deadliest offensive weapon in the game with WR Julio Jones. Their defense isn’t lacking too much, either. Vic Beasley led the league in sacks a year ago, and their second year MLB Deion Jones is one of the fastest players at his position. You’re certainly going to want to use the Atlanta Falcons in Madden 18.
Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys could have had co-rookies of the year with QB Dak Prescott and RB Ezekiel Elliott. Nonetheless, both players are Madden beasts and when you add in WR Dez Bryant, the Cowboys are a serious threat in Madden 18. Even though the Dallas defense lost a good bit of it’s talent from last season, Madden fans are still going to be curious as to what the team looks like with Zeke and Dak in their second season’s. Throw in the offensive line that seems like a brick wall, and Dallas will undoubtedly be one of the most popular teams to use in Madden 18.
New England Patriots
It almost goes without saying, but New England will certainly be one of the most popular teams to use in Madden 18. They acquired the speedy aforementioned Cooks from the Saints, and added Stephon Gilmore to play corner from the Buffalo Bills. All of this is on top of the fact that QB Tom Brady made the cover of this year’s Madden 18, and he’s also likely to receive one of the coveted 99 overall rating spots to start the season.
That just about does it for our most popular teams to use in Madden 18. See any that we may have missed? What teams make your list? As always, please feel free to comment below.
