Madden 17 Blitz: 4-4 Split – Cover 2 Invert (Part 2)

In today’s free Madden 17 defensive tip, we are expanding on a blitz that Stickwork covered a few weeks ago.  This time, we are going over how to bring the same pressure, but instead of rushing 5 guys you only have to rush 3 guys.

Playbook: Buffalo Bills

Formation: 4-4 Split

Play: Cover 2

Setup:

1. Base Align
2. Spread your linebackers
3. Blitz your LOLB (on the right side of the screen)
4. (Optional) Put your RE (on the left side of the screen) in a light blue zone
5. (Optional) Put your DT on the left side of the screen in a QB Spy
6. (Optional) Adjust the zone coverage however you’d like

Overview: This is a 3 or 4 man rush that can get really consistent unblocked pressure off the right side of the screen.
