Madden 17 Defense: 4-3 Over Mini Scheme

In today’s free Madden 17 tip, we are going over 2 ways to bring pressure out of the 4-3 Over formation.  The first way uses a QB Spy to hopefully trick the quarterback into rolling out of the pocket, and the second way is a 5 man B-gap blitz.

Playbook: Any 4-3

Formation: 4-3 Over

Play: Any

Setup: Bluff Pressure

1. Shift your defensive line to the right
2. Crash your defensive line out
3. QB Spy your RE (on the left side of the screen)

Setup: Right B Gap Pressure

1. Shift your defensive line to the right
2. Crash your defensive line down
3. Blitz LOLB (on the right side of the screen)

Overview: In a previous video, we showed how you can create bluff pressure from the 3-4 or the 4-3 Under.

This time we are showing you how to use the 4-3 Over to create bluff pressure with the QB Spy technique as well as bringing 5 guys to create a B gap pressure to force the opposing QB to scramble or throw hot after you’ve been running your bluff pressure

All of these plays give your opponent the same look, making your coverages disguise very well and allows you to blitz without telegraphing it.
