Overview: Stopping the run is always paramount in Madden. If you can’t do it, you’re in for a long day. I’ll show you how to stop two of the best run plays in Madden 16 with a simple setup that doesn’t require a lot of user to stop. You simply out leverage your opponent and either get a stop for no-gain or force them to pass the ball.
We’re going to break down how one of the cover 3 defense designed to stop the Strong Close Quick Toss.
This is how the play should look right before your opponent snaps the ball.
Right when the running back catches the ball, you can see that we have more defenders than he will be able to block.
One of our players should come through untouched as seen above.
The play ends for a loss of about 4 yards.
