Today we are bringing you a Madden 16 blitz scheme that is a little complicated, takes a long time to set up, and does require some exact positioning of players. So if you are new to Madden 16 or just aren’t very comfortable making adjustments, this play may not be for you. We are only rushing 4 guys and usually can get really fast B-gap pressure.
Here is how to do it:
Playbook: Any 3-4 playbook
Formation: 3-4 Odd or 3-4 Normal
Play: Any (Works best with the ‘Sam Mike’ plays)
- Base align
- Press coverage
- Shift your linebackers to the left
- Pinch DL
- Crash DL Down
- Put blitzing MLB into hook zone and user control him (hold LT at snap)
- QB Contain (is required if NOT running Cover 2 sink contain or any of the 3 ‘Sam Mike’ plays, otherwise optional)
Overview: This is a great universal blitz out of the 3-4 Normal formation that allows you to play good coverage behind it and also works on both sides.
Let’s take a closer look at this play…
This is how the play should look before the snap if you set it up correctly.
You can see our defensive end comes in free between the right tackle and right guard.
We get a quick sack and even if our opponent blocks an extra running back or if the pressure doesn’t get in, we have 7 guys in coverage.
