Online Team Play will not be in Madden NFL 16. Online Team play (sometimes referred to as OTP) was a cult favorite of previous Madden games. It wasn’t a mass hit but the people who played that game mode were huge fans of it.
OTP wasn’t in Madden NFL 15 causing many fans to ask for its inclusion in Madden 16. In online team play you and 2 friends could play on the same team against a different team of 3 players. Essentially it was a 3v3 head to head game.
Most of the time you would have 1 player at quarterback, 1 running back, and one wide receiver. Games were much different because you had 3 players who were user controlled at all times making it a completely different challenge.
I know many of our Madden School members played OTP in Madden 25 and will be disappointed to not see it in Madden 16.
It looks like EA Sports’ effort was put into a new game mode called Draft Champions instead.
Me and my friends that I play with have agreed to all skip madden this year for this very reason.
Well, I was gonna buy Madden this year, but not anymore. No online team play, no buy. I would have bought 14 too, if they had it.
madden 14 did have OTP…at least madden 25 on the xbox one and ps4 did….idk about 360 and ps3

That is far from the truth just read all the comments , we want team play and Madden 25 still has team play on the Xbox one . Another year with out Madden and the new rosters I guess ?
exactly…ill be playing madden 25 on my xbox one this year again…. OTP is the only reason i play madden
Man I just don’t get why they had OTP in 11, 12, and 25 and then just stop. People say it’s because they don’t make money off of it. Funny they “think” that. Most people I know that still play OTP on 25 don’t spend the $60 for the game b/c it doesn’t feature OTP. That is $60x however many players refuse to buy it because there is not OTP = a lot of money no doubt.
Bs, i hate you EA. Pathetic.. you put in the PoS mode, draft champions but no otp… unreal. Cant wait until another developer comes out with a football title.. i will play that over madden just out of spite.
This is two years now we have suffered without 3v3. Which in my mind is bullcrap. I have been playing madden for years, you get a great game mode then get rid of it… that mode is all i play! So EA wont be getting my money again this year. Way to suck !!!
I will not buy madden until Team Play is brought back, why do this EA? Stop being turds.
