Madden 22 Ultimate Team Halftime Adjustments Details

The latest feature to come to Madden 22 Ultimate Team is called “Halftime Adjustments.” Now you will be allowed to switch out your Superstar abilities and X-factors at halftime to counter what your opponent is doing.

Here’s how it works:

At halftime both players get 1 minute to switch out any abilities they have on their players. You won’t be able to go and purchase new abilities during this time, just switch out abilities that are already equipped (but not activated) as well as switch out which players on your team have them.

Keep in mind that you still have to fall within the AP and X-Factor limits.

While this will undoubtedly add to the strategy of Madden 22, it will come at a cost. Gamers who spend a lot of money or grind insane hours will be able to have all kinds of different abilities on their backups and 3rd stringers.

This will allow them to counter whatever they see in the first half and put players who can’t equip 50+ players with abilities at a disadvantage.

Another potential impact of this change is that it may cause players who would normally quit in the 1st or 2nd quarter when down big to try to play out more games thinking they will be able to make adjustments in the 2nd half. Depending on your perspective, this can either be a really good or really bad thing.

I like it. When is EA / Madden going to let us get rid of worthless players we can’t do anything with?
