Madden 17 Scheme: Nickel 2-4-5 Double A Gap

We’ve got a 3 part blitz scheme that goes over how to get pressure in Madden 17 off the right edge, off the left edge, and off of both sides at once.

You can check it all out below.

Playbook: Any 3-4

Formation: Nickel 2-4-5 Double A Gap

Play: Buck Zone Blitz

Setup:

  1. Base Align
  2. Globally blitz all linebackers
  3. QB spy your MLB#2

Overview: The nickel 2-4-5 double A gap is a very popular defense among NFL teams because of the illusion of pressure coming up the middle, and it’s no different in Madden 17.

This setup goes through how to quickly send 5 guys to get guaranteed pressure off the right edge. This play is best for 3rd and long situations where your opponent has to send 5 guys on routes.

Playbook: Any 3-4

Formation: Nickel 2-4-5 Double A Gap

Play: Nickel Overload 3

Setup:

  1. Base Align
  2. Show Blitz
  3. Globally blitz all linebackers
  4. QB Spy MLB #1

Overview: Sending pressure from one side or another is great in Madden, but on certain downs people will start blocking extra guys and you need a way to still get pressure in. Sending 6 with this play will end up getting someone free even if the offense blocks an additional guy.
