Some of the most popular running plays in Madden 15 are run out of Pistol formations. Plays like Counter, Strong Power, and even HB Dive can be effective this year.
In today’s free tip, Yoda is going over one of his run defenses that slows down those overused plays.

Formation: Nickel 3-3-5 Wide
Play: Cover 3 Buzz
Setup:
- Base Align
- Blitz the nickel cornerback
- Put the ROLB (on the left side of the screen) in a flat zone
- Crash D-line down
- QB Contain
Overview: This run defense does a really good job of limiting the big runs out of the Pistol formation. The best part is that you have decent coverage as well in case your opponent is passing.
how are you usering with your defender? do you just use the pad, or do you defensive assist at all?
When you say D-Line crash down, do you mean Crash Middle and/or Pinch?
