How To Beat Cover 2 And Cover 3 Defenses In Madden 19

Today we are going over one easy way to get big chunks of yards against cover 2 and cover 3 defenses in Madden 19.

Playbook: Washington Redskins (as well as Jets & Rams)

Formation: Gun Bunch Offset

Play: Curl Flat

Setup: (Against Cover 2)

1. Streak the A/X tight end
2. Put the X/Square receiver on a fade
3. Put the B/O receiver on an out route

Setup: ( Against Cover 3)

1. Put the A/X tight end on a fade
2. Put the X/Square receiver on an in route
3. Put the B/O receiver on an out route

Reads:

1. The main target on this play is the RB/R1 receiver
2. Then look for the A/X tight end up the seam of the field
3. Lastly, check down to the X/Square receiver on the in route

Overview: This is an effective way to destroy zone coverage in Madden 19. The route combination confuses the corners and safeties on the right side of the field leaving the RB/R1 receiver wide open for a nice gain.

This is one way that the play art should look before you snap the ball.

Against a cover 2 defense, you can see that the linebacker gets stuck in no man’s land and won’t be able to cover either of our receivers.

We choose to throw to the receiver on the corner route and we end up with about a 30 yard gain.
