What Does Holding L2/LT Over An Offensive Lineman Do In Madden 22

If you’ve followed along with any of our defensive tips over the years, you know that a common theme is placing a linebacker in over a specific offensive lineman and then holding L2/LT until the ball is snapped.

A lot of people ask us why we do that.

The easy answer is because it make whatever blitz we are doing work.

The more complicated answer is when you user a defender and stand in front of a lineman holding L2/LT it distracts the offensive line. It changes how the offensive line blocks.

They think that the defender that you are usering and holding L2/LT with is going to be coming on a blitz so their blocking scheme accounts for that defender.

By doing that, it allows for you to get one of your other defenders (who actually is blitzing) to rush the quarterback unblocked.
