Singleback Doubles

Playbook: New Orleans Saints

Formation: Singleback Doubles

Play: HB Dive

Overview: The HB Dive is pretty much always an effective run in madden. Also, the motion of the slot receiver makes this play appear to be the Jet Sweep.

Playbook: New Orleans Saints

Formation: Singleback Doubles

Play: Jet Sweep

Setup:

  1. None

Reads:

  1. Follow the blockers

Overview: This is a good run play to use in the red zone especially with a speedy receiver. It is extremely easy to bounce this to the outside before the defense is able to react.

Playbook: New Orleans Saints

Formation: Singleback Doubles

Play: PA Jet Sweep

Setup:

  1. None required

Reads:

  1. The main read is the X/Square receiver deep on the post
  2. Then you have the A/X tight end on the crossing route
  3. Next, you have the B/O receiver on the in route
  4. After that, you have the slot receiver on the wheel out of the backfield
  5. Finally, check down to the running back

Overview: In this video we show how this play can beat defenses overtop for easy one play touchdowns. Also, the other route combinations are effective as well while making this play appear to be our run play.

Playbook: New Orleans Saints

Formation: Singleback Doubles

Play: PA Slot Crosses

Setup:

  1. Put the B/O receiver on a fade

Reads:

  1. The first read on the play is the B/O receiver on the fade route
  2. Then look for the A/X tight end on the drag route
  3. Next, look for the Y/Triangle receiver on the crossing route
  4. Finally, find the X/Square receiver his route over the middle

Overview: This is a very diverse play that is going to beat both man and zone coverage. The fade makes it nearly impossible for the defense to use a Cover 2 style defense. Then we also have all the other route combos for them to worry about as well.
