5 Quarterbacks To Build Your Team Around In Madden 16

The NFL is a passing league which makes Madden 16 all about passing.  In order to move the ball effectively, you will need a good quarterback.  But you can’t just choose any good quarterback to lead your team in Madden 16, you need a QB built to dominate in the video game world.

Peyton Manning is one of the most obvious example of an elite NFL quarterback that just isn’t that good in Madden games.  His main strengths are experience, awareness, and accuracy.  Those things just aren’t that important when it comes to Madden.  Experience doesn’t have a Madden rating, the awareness rating in QBs is useless during user controlled games, and you can’t really tell the difference between a QB with a 98 accuracy rating and an 88 accuracy rating.

That is why it is important to build around quarterbacks that are elite in Madden 16 not just in the NFL on Sundays.

Here are 5 great players to start with.  The ranking isn’t in any particular order.

1. Andrew Luck

He has speed, accuracy, throw power and everything else you could ever want.  He is also still young so if you are playing franchise mode, you will have another 10+ years left in him.

2. Tom Brady

Even though he is old and has many of the same attributes that Peyton Manning does, he can make every throw and do just about anything except use his legs as a scrambler.

3. Cam Newton

He is the choice of many of the hardcore Madden players.  He is one of the few quarterbacks who can run and you don’t have to worry about him fumbling all the time.  His passing ratings are good enough where he will only make a bad throw about one time per game.

4. Aaron Rodgers

For Madden purposes, Aaron Rodgers is Tom Brady but with mobility.  His speed is usually around 80 and his passing attributes are always in the high 90s.  He is probably the safest choice out of anyone on this list.

5. Russell Wilson

Wilson has it all.  He is still extremely young, he has the mobility everyone looks for and the passing ratings to make all the throws on the field.

Bonus #6. Marcus Mariota

This may be a bit of a stretch but in Madden NFL 16 I would take Mariota over guys like Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, and some of the elite NFL quarterbacks especially if it is in franchise mode where he has time to develop.  He will have all of the raw tools that you need in a quarterback and you’ll just have to upgrade minor things like awareness and some throw accuracy.

I think Newton is a pretty beast QB.
