Nickel Psycho – DBL Loop 3 Blitz

As the Madden 15 season winds down, it is good to go over some of the concepts that work well so that you can try them when Madden 16 is released in August.

In this defensive tip, Protege Saints goes over one of the plays he uses in 3rd or 4th and long situations to get pressure on opposing quarterbacks.

Formation: Nickel Psycho

Play: Dbl Loop 3

Setup:

1. Base align
2. Spread linebackers
3. Spread d-line
4. Edge rush d-line
5. Re blitz LOLB and MLB

Reads:

1. Read the middle of the field with the Safety

Overview: This is a nice blitz that works probably 8 out of 10 times creating a-gap pressure. Be sure not to run it every down though. It’s important to only blitz when necessary, 3rd or 4th down.
