Madden School Redesign For Madden 15

As you probably already noticed, Madden-School.com is undergoing a redesign in preparation for Madden 15.  Some will love the new look and some will hate it, but the hope is that eventually everyone will eventually warm up to it.

We haven’t had any sort of redesign in over 2 years.  That might not seem like a big deal but back in early 2012 very few people were using tablets and the number of people using smartphones were much lower.  Our old design was made for desktops and laptops.  Mobile phones and tablets were pretty much an after thought.

The way our old design worked on tablets and phones was to essentially just shrink the website to make it fit.  That caused some very small text in certain places and made Madden School harder to navigate.

This new design was built with tablets, smartphones, laptops, and desktops all in mind.  You’ll immediately notice how the new sliders can be navigated by swiping a finger in either direction.  Something like that is essential with the emergence of touch screens that we lacked before.

There is still a long way to go.  We will be ordering a forum design to exactly match this new homepage design.  Thanks again to everyone who purchased ebooks this year.  eBook sales make it possible to do things like free tips, tournaments, leagues, prizes, and making Madden-School a better place.  If you notice anything that is clearly broken or something you’d like to see added in the future, please leave a comment below.

We are looking forward to a great year with Madden 15!

Thanks for all your work guys. Im just getting into this site, but excited to improve my game ahead of Madden 15. I just wanted to give you a heads up that the tiles on the front page look like they are supposed to scroll to the sides (maybe a swipe on the tablet), but they do not slide on the desktop. This causes the tiles on the edges of the screen to be half cut-off and they do not seem to scroll.

Clarification: they do scroll when I click the arrow, but each time the tiles on the edges are half on and half off the screen. This makes it so I cannot see what the edges tiles say when I am looking at the home page.
