The Oakland Raiders will be an extremely popular sleeper team to use in Madden NFL 17. They don’t have too many glaring weaknesses and they have young talent all over the roster.
Check out the full Madden 17 Oakland Raiders team breakdown below.
Team: Oakland Raiders
Offensive Strategy: Balance. The Raiders have one of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL, good receivers, a great offensive line, and good running backs. You’ve got plenty of options with this team.
Defensive Strategy: Get after the quarterback. Khalil Mack and Bruce Irvin form one of the fiercest pass rushing duos in the game. When you have 2 of the best pass rushers in Madden 17 on one team, you should get plenty of sacks.
Impact Players: QB Derek Carr, HB Latavius Murray, FB Marcel Reece, WR Amari Cooper, WR Michael Crabtree, LT Donald Penn, LG Gabe Jackson, C Rodney Hudson, RG Kelechi Osemele, DT Dan Williams, LOLB Khalil Mack, ROLB Bruce Irvin, CB Sean Smith, CB D.J. Hayden, FS Reggie Nelson
Strengths: Outside linebackers and offensive line. We’ve already covered how good the Raiders outside linebackers are. The offensive line is extremely strong as well though. It should make running the ball much easier.
Weaknesses: Tight end. That is the only real weakness that jumps out on the Raiders in Madden 17. It shouldn’t be much of a problem though considering the other weapons you’ll have on offense.
Overview: Look for plenty of people to use the Raiders in Madden NFL 17. They have a just about perfect roster for what most pro gamers look for in a team. They still won’t get a great overall rating but they will be extremely effective on the virtual gridiron.

What would be a good defense to use for the Raiders.
I usually change to a 3-4 (broncos or ravens) have mack and smith come of the side (olb) and middle covered by bruce irvin and malcolm smith
Gio, Do you leave the secondary and defensive line alone for the 3-4?
Mack is ranked slightly higher at 4-3 DE than 3- 4 OLB, but DE seems an easier position to fill. Which position do you think maximises his pass rush potential?
Either way works for sure since in both situations he is primarily rushing the passer.
