Madden NFL 17 New England Patriots Team Breakdown

The New England Patriots head into Madden NFL 17 with a loaded team.  Good luck stopping them if you find yourself playing them online.

We’ve got the full Madden 17 New England Patriots team breakdown below.

Team: New England Patriots

Offensive Strategy: Consistent passing attack.  The Patriots don’t have that 1 guy who can beat you deep but they do have 2 extremely dangerous Madden tight ends and some of the most consistent receivers in the game as well.  If you have a decent offense, you shouldn’t have a problem putting points up on the board.

Defensive Strategy: Get the ball back to your offense.  You should only need 1 or 2 defensive stops per game in order to win with the Patriots.  So if you can force a turnover or hold your opponent to field goals instead of a touchdown, you will be on your way to a win.

Impact Players: QB Tom Brady, WR Julian Edelman, WR Danny Amendola, TE Rob Gronkowski, TE Martellus Bennett, LT Nate Solder, LE Rob Ninkovich, RE Jabaal Sheard, DT Terrance Knighton, MLB Jamie Collins, ROLB Dont’a Hightower, CB Logan Ryan, CB Malcolm Butler, FS Devin McCourty, SS Patrick Chung

Strengths: Safeties and passing attack.  There isn’t a defense in Madden 17 that has the correct personnel to consistently stop the Patriots offense.  Devin McCourty and Patrick Chung form one of the best safety duos in the game as well.

Weaknesses: Running back.  The Patriots are still missing a dominant workhorse running back that can run out the clock when you need it.

Overview: As usual, the Patriots are one of the best teams in Madden 17.  They may even be scarier than they were in Madden 16.

Love the previews. I just can’t stand the NE WRs in Madden they are much better in real life. They are short and slow, the 2 things that you don’t want in Madden. Not a fan of using the Pats especially since they don’t have a very good running game for Madden either. Brady and Gronk are fun though, but I love playing against them.

They are not the hardest team to stop offensively. That honor goes to the cardinals. They got Fitz, JJ, Carson and David. With the Pats, blitz the Tom, user cover gronk and disrupt the WRs routes and there you go you stopped there offense. With the Cards, you have to stop David for running all over your team and stop Carson from throwing all over your team, at the same time.
