Madden NFL 16 Oakland Raiders Team Breakdown

The Oakland Raiders have plenty of youth and young talent on their roster in Madden NFL 16.  Derek Carr is one of the best young QBs in the league, Amari Cooper will have great individual ratings coming into Madden 16, and the defense has a few pieces to build around.

Here is the full Oakland Raiders team breakdown for Madden 16.

Team: Oakland Raiders

Offensive Strategy: Derek Carr to Amari Cooper.  Carr and Cooper form one of the best young QB/WR combos in the league.  Make sure to mix in Latavius Murray and Trent Richardson in the running game.  Don’t forget Marcel Reece who is one of the most under-utilized weapons in Madden.

Defensive Strategy: 4-3 Pressure.  The Raiders will need to get pressure early and often.  Khalil Mack is a dominant force on defense.  D.J. Hayden can shut down some of the best receivers in Madden 16 and Charles Woodson is a ball hawk.

Impact Players: QB Derek Carr, FB Marcel Reece, WR Amari Cooper, WR Michael Crabtree, DT Dan Williams, LE Justin Tuck, ROLB Khalil Mack, LOLB Sio Moore, CB D.J. Hayden, FS Charles Woodson

Key Newcomers: WR Amari Cooper, RE Mario Edwards, SS Nate Allen, HB Trent Richardson, WR Michael Crabtree

Strengths: Youth.  The Raiders have a lot of young talent on their roster.  Derek Carr, Amari Cooper, Khalil Mack, D.J. Hayden and a few others are all potential superstars.  With a few roster updates, the Raiders can get better very quickly.

Weaknesses: Halfback.  In order to be an elite Madden team, you need a workhorse at halfback.  Although Latavious Murray and Trent Richardson will get the job done, they can’t carry the team in Madden 16 the way guys like Marshawn Lynch, Adrian Peterson, and Jamaal Charles can.  Luckily, Marcel Reese is the best fullback in Madden 16.

Overall: The Raiders are a pretty weak team starting out this year.  That being said, they have a lot of upside and if they start out the season well they could quickly go from a team that no one uses, to one of the most popular teams in the game.

It’s Latavious Murray not Latavious Moore lol… But we also have Roy Helu Jr. And 3rd round pick TE Clive Walford from the U! QB. Derek Carr throwing to Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree and TE’s in Michael Rivera & Clive Walford and stud RB’s with Latavious Murray and Roy Helu plus Trent Richardson those guys running behind a pretty darn good Offensive Line in stud LT. Donald Penn, LG Gabe Jackson, C Rodney Hudson our right side is the weakest. I think we have the tools to be a top 10 NFL Offense for sure.
