The Houston Texans have a really strong defense in Madden 16.  If they can find a quarterback, the Texans have the potential to be one of the dangerous teams in the game.  Until then, they are just an average squad.

We have the full Houston Texans team breakdown for Madden 16 below.

Team: Houston Texans

Offensive Strategy: Pound the ball with Arian Foster.  Unfortunately the Texans don’t have a reliable Madden quarterback on their roster so they will have to rely on the running game to move the ball.  Find a few running plays that work well for you and call them until the defense stops you.

Defensive Strategy: 3-4 Balanced.  The Texans defense is scary good.  It will be just about useless trying to run against J.J. Watt and Vince Wilfork up front.  JaDeveon Clowney is still a stud in Madden.  You should be able to get a bunch of sacks with him.  Cornerbacks Johnathan Joseph and Kevin Johnson should be able to contain most wide receivers as well.

Impact Players: HB Arian Foster, WR DeAndre Hopkins, LT Duane Brown, DE J.J. Watt, DT Vince Wilfork, MLB Brian Cushing, ROLB Jadeveon Clowney, CB Johnathan Joseph, CB Kevin Johnson, FS Rahim Moore

Key Newcomers: DT Vince Wilfork, FS Rahim Moore, CB Kevin Johnson, MLB Benardrick McKinney, WR Jaelen Strong

Strengths: Defense.  The Texans have an extremely strong defense in Madden 16 led by Watt and Wilfork.  Those guys can stop the run so well that you should be able to dedicate your defense to slowing down the pass.

Weaknesses: Quarterback.  If you don’t have a quarterback that is average or above in Madden 16, then it will be hard for you to win.  The Texans don’t have a quarterback rated higher than a 76 which will allow your opponents to key in on the run.

Overview: If a quarterback emerges during the regular season, the Texans could quickly become a team that many people use.  Until then, they are good enough for true fans to use but most other gamers will stay away from them.
