Madden 21: Singleback Deuce Close – PA Stretch Shot

In today’s free Madden School tip, we are going over a nice play to add into your scheme in Madden 21.

Playbook: Eagles, Packers, Washington, Raiders

Formation: Singleback Deuce Close

Play: PA Stretch Shot

Normal Setup:

1. Block the running back
2. Put the Y/Triangle tight end on a drag route
3. Put the A/X tight end on a drag route (Optional)

Cover 3 Beater:

1. Block the running back
2. Put the Y/Triangle tight end on a drag route
3. Motion the B/O receiver out to the right

Reads:

1. The main target on this play is the X/Square receiver on the post deep (when running the Cover 3 beater)
2. The other main target is the B/O receiver on the corner route (this is when running the normal setup vs Cover 2/Cover 3)
3. Next, look for the Y/Triangle tight end on the drag route
4. Finally, check down to the A/X tight end on the drag route

Overview: In this video we go over two different setups one that absolutely bombs a Cover 3 style defense over top for a touchdown. Then the other setup can also beat Cover 3 however, it destroys Cover 2 style defenses with the B/O receiver on the corner route.
