In todays Madden School Film Room tip, we are going over a new way to switch your opponent’s man to man coverage assignments.
Check it out below.
Playbook: Many Different Playbooks (Seattle In this example)
Formation: I-Form Tight
Play: Any pass play
Setup:
- Put your B/circle receiver on a streak
- Put the A/X tight end on a drag route
- Motion the B/circle receiver a step to the left and snap it
Reads:
- Pass to the B/circle receiver lead pass to the outside
Overview: This technique only works against man to man defense in 4-3, 3-4, or 46 formations. For it to work best you’ll really want to set up a power running game from this formation and then throw this play in there when you need a touchdown.
If your opponent is in Nickel or Dime, you will not be able to snap the ball until your wide receiver crosses to the other side of the formation.
