Playbook: New York Jets

Formation: Gun Bunch TE

Play: PA Boot Over

Setup #1:

1. Hot route you A/X tight end to a drag route
2. Hot route your RB/R1 running back to an Option/Texas Route (Backfield Master Needed)

Reads:

1. Your main read on this play is your Y/triangle wide receiver as he crosses to the right side of the field.
2. If your opponent is playing deep coverage pass to your B/circle receiver underneath.
3. Your third read is your A/X tight end on the drag route (Matchup Nightmare helps get separation).
4. Against Man coverage look for your running back on the option/texas route.

Setup #2:

1. Hot route you A/X tight end to a delay fade.
2. Hot route your RB/R1 running back to an Option/Texas Route (Backfield Master Needed)

Reads:

1. Your main read on this play is your Y/triangle wide receiver as he crosses to the right side of the field.
2. If your opponent is playing deep coverage, pass to your B/circle receiver underneath.
3. Against Man coverage look for your running back on the option/texas route.
4. Lastly, the delay fade is a great last resort if everything is covered.

Overview: This is your bread and butter passing play in this formation. With so many great routes all over the field you will be able to pick your opponent apart with this play. The Y/triangle crossing route does such a great job of getting open against all coverages. And if you are able to put the backfield master on your running back you will be able to destroy man coverage with the Texas route.

Play: Inside Zone

Setup:

1. (Optional) Motion your B/circle receiver to the right and snap as you will for Inside Switch (will be covering this play later in the Mini Scheme).
2. Double Team any Inside Stuffs that your opponent has on the field.

Overview: As for any run, follow your blockers. I tend to keep this run up the middle but if you are confident that you can get around the edge based on what you see go for it.

Play: X Spot

Setup:

1. Hot Route Your X/square receiver to a streak
2. Hot Route your A/X tight end to a streak
3. Either block your RB/R1 running back or hot route him to an option route.

Reads:

1. Your first read on this play is your Y/triangle wide receiver on the corner route.
2. Your second read is your B/circle receiver on the flat route.
3. If your opponent is in cover 2 defense, hit your A/x tight end up the seam.

Overview: This play is your Cover 3 beater in this formation. The route read on the left side of the field make it really easy to pick apart Cover 3 defenses. If your opponent happens to switch to Cover 2 you have your tight end wide open in the middle of the field.

Play: Inside Switch

Setup:

1. Hot route your B/circle receiver to a streak and motion him to the right.
2. Hot route your Y/triangle receiver to a hitch route.
3. Smart route your A/x tight end to a shorter corner route.

Reads:

1. Your first read on this play is your X/square receiver on the post route.
2. Your second read on this play is your A/x tight end on the corner route.
3. If your opponent is playing back to cover the tight end, hit your running back in the flat.
4. Lastly, you have your Y/triangle receiver on the hitch route.

Overview: This play has great routes all over the field you can hit. The X/square post and the A/X corner route put your opponent usering in a bind. You also have two good checkdowns on opposite sides of the field if everything else is covered.

Play: TE Corner

Setup:

1. Hot Route your RB/R1 running back to a streak and motion him out to the right. Now that he is considered a wide receiver, hot route him to a hitch route.
2. Hot route your X/square receiver to a flat route.
3. Smart Route your Y/triangle receivers corner route.
4. Smart Route your A/x tight ends corner route.
5. Smart Route your B/circle receivers post route.

Reads:

1. Your first read on this play is your Y/triangle wide receiver on the corner route.
2. Your second read on this play is your B/circle receiver on the post route.
3. Your third read on this play is your A/X tight end on the corner route.
4. Your fourth read on this play is your RB/R1 running back on the hitch route.
5. Your fifth read on this play is your X/square receiver in the flat.

Overview: This play is a combination of X Spot and Inside Switch. With Corner routes on both sides of the field, and a post cutting across the middle you have the best passing play in Madden 21.
