Madden 19: Gun Trips HB Wk – Curls

In today’s Madden School tip, we are going over a Madden 19 money play that has reads against every common coverage in the game.

Playbook: Houston Texans

Formation: Gun Trips HB WK

Play: Curls

Setup:

1. Put the RB/R1 receiver on a drag route
2. Put the B/O receiver on an in route
3. Put the X/Square receiver on a streak
4. Block the running back

Reads:

1. The first read on the play is the RB/R1 receiver on the drag route
2. If that is not there look for the B/O receiver on the in route
3. Lastly, look deep to the A/X receiver on his post pattern

Overview: This is an effective levels concept going toward the left side of the field. The X/Square receiver running the streak route clears the space for the A/X receiver to be wide open for a big play. Then you also have the RB/R1 and B/O receivers underneath for nice gains as well.
