Madden 17: Nickel 2-4-5 – Nickel Blitz 2

In this free Madden 17 tip, new Madden School pro Jiggy Jrod goes over an easy 4 man rush that bring heat off the left side of the screen.  It also has good coverage throughout the field to go along with the pressure.

Playbook: Indianapolis Colts

Formation: Nickel 2-4-5

Play: Nickel Blitz 2

Setup:

1. Base Align
2. Press Coverage
3. Shade Coverage Underneath
4. Put your right DT into a yellow zone

Overview: This is a quick and easy blitz to set up. The DT dropping back into coverage can confuse your opponent and take the first read away while you have 2 MLBs in a vertical hook coverage to cover the seams. If your opponent throws to the flats, he has a high chance of getting intercepted and it being returned for a touchdown.

Remember, if your opponent blocks an extra guy, this blitz will not get in.  However, at that point you have 7 guys in coverage against only 4 receivers.

Right after the snap, you will see our nickel cornerback screaming off the left edge.
