Playbook: Baltimore Ravens
Formation: Gun Trey Offset
Play: Dagger
Setup:
- Hot route your tight end to a streak route
- Hot route your running back to block
- Put your Y/triangle receiver on a drag route
Reads:
- If you get the time the B/circle receiver gets open against just about any zone defense.
- Your X/square receiver on the deep out route also gets open usually (lead pass up against zone)
- Your Y/triangle receiver on the drag route is your check down option if you are under pressure or if your opponent users deep.
Overview: This play does take a bit of time to develop so only call it if you expect your opponent not to blitz.
Playbook: Baltimore Ravens
Formation: Gun Trey Offset
Play: Inside Zone
Setup: None required
Overview: Just follow your blockers. This is an incredibly effective and consistent run play if your opponent isn’t properly aligned.
Playbook: Baltimore Ravens
Formation: Gun Trey Offset
Play: Levels Sail
Setup: None required
Reads:
- Your first read is always the running back in the flat. If he is open, throw it
- If he is covered, look to your tight end on the corner route. You may have to low pass it or lead pass down
- Then look to your other receivers on their in routes as bailout options
Overview: When you want to call this play, you will want to quick snap the ball. Since you aren’t making any adjustments to your offense, you don’t want to give the defense any time to adjust either.
Playbook: Baltimore Ravens
Formation: Gun Trey Offset
Play: RPO Alert WR Screen
Setup: None required
Reads:
- Just count the defenders lined up over your wide receivers on the left. If there are 2 or less go ahead and make the pass. If not, audible to a different play.
Overview: Run this once or twice a game to keep the defense honest and thinking about the quick screen. This play really compliments the other passing plays like Dagger and Levels Sail.
I am trying to commit to the scheme and not just money plays
Could there be more plays
The animation on the table routes is different this year. The running back used to catch the pass in stride. Now he turns back to catch the pass, which slows down his momentum and progression. Does anyone else notice that? I guess they must have changed it to seem more realistic to real life?? Seems to make the table option less appealing this year.

You are absolutely correct about the table route this year.
