Playbook: West Coast
Formation: Gun Bunch Wk
Play: Z Spot
Setup:
- Put the B/O receiver on a streak
- Put the X/Square receiver on an in route
- Block the running back
- Motion the B/O receiver out to the right
Reads:
- The first read on this play is going to be the A/X tight end in the flats
- If that is not there look for the RB/R1 receiver on the corner route
- Then find the X/Square receiver coming across the middle on the in route
Overview: This play is used as a zone beater, and the use of the motion can confuse your opponent because this play looks just like so many other plays in this formation. However, the receivers are always on different routes with every play we motion the B/O receiver out on.

- Finally find the X/Square receiver deep over the middle on the post route
Overview: This passing play is effective against virtually every defense in the game. It can beat both man and zone coverage with the same setup. It also appears to be to the opponent as many other plays in this formation so your opponent can’t guess which play you are using.

Overview: This play is phenomenal because you can bomb Cover 3 defenses for a touchdown. Also, you can beat just about every other defense in the game as well. We stay consistent with the motioning of the B/O receiver in this play too.

Reads:

Play: Corner Strike
Setup:
- Put the RB/R1 receiver on either a streak or a drag route (The streak is more efficient vs Cover 2; the drag is more efficient vs Cover 3)
Reads:
- The first read on the play is the A/X tight end in the flats
- Then look for the running back in the flats
- If those are not there look for the B/O receiver on his corner route
- Next look for the X/Square receiver on his corner route
- Lastly, check down to the RB/R1 receiver if he is on a drag
Overview: This play is effective because it is a high/low read concept on both sides of the field. This will require a lot of adjustments from your opponent to be able to guard all the routes on this play.
