Absolutely Destroy Cover 2 Defenses In Madden 22 With This Money Play

Every year for the last 14 years we’ve started off the Madden season with an amazing tip. Madden 22 is no different. In fact, this is one of our best ones yet!

Today we are making cover 2 defenses completely unusable in Madden 22. In the breakdown below, we go over how to get a touchdown from just about any passing play with just a couple simple steps.

Check it out below!

Madden 22: Absolutely Insane Cover 2 Defense Beater For A Touchdown Everytime

Playbook: Any (In this video NYG)

Formation: Any non-compressed formation (Gun Spread Flex Wk)

Play: Any passing play (Spot Cross)

Setup:

  1. Make sure you are on the right hash mark
  2. Put your outside most wide receiver on the left on a fade route
  3. Make sure no other receivers on that side are on deep routes

Reads:

  1. Just buy some time and throw to your wide receiver on the fade route. No one should be within 20 yards of him if you do it correctly.

Overview: I’m sure this technique will be patched within the next couple of weeks but in the meantime, if you catch someone in a cover 2 defense you can make them pay!

Let’s take deeper look at how it works.

This is how the play looks before the snap. Notice how we are on the right hash mark and the receiver on the left is on the fade route.

Right away we notice the deep safety creeping toward the middle of the field and our receiver running past the cornerback in the flat zone.

The ball is in the air and no one is anywhere near our receiver.

We are able to walk into the endzone for a touchdown.

Cover 2 man safeties do the same, just put the speed WR on the outside. He gets behind the CB there will be no help over the top
