Just a general question out of curiosity. Does the QB contain for the D-lineman on the Mike Will Blitz add to the effectiveness of the play because of the angle the D-lineman is taking or will the play work the pretty much the same without the QB contain?
It is important to use the QB contain because it will change the angle.
Where are the defensive plays to stop hb stretch plays from I-form tight and I-form 3 wr?
We don’t currently cover HB Stretch defense. It isn’t something we’ve noticed to be too overpowered
How do i stop getting beat up the middle with like slants , and a fade smash also getting killed with hb screens
There isn’t really a defense that stops all of that. It sounds like using a cover 3 or cover 4 with hard flats might be the best move and them user the middle of the field to take away the slants.
