Play: Drive Wheel

Setup:

1. Put the B/O receiver on a drag route

Reads:

1. The first read on this play is the X/Square receiver quick on the drag
2. Then look for the B/O receiver on the drag route
3. If that is not there look deep over the middle to the A/X tight end
4. Lastly, look for the Y/Triangle receiver on the in route

Overview: This is a very effective Tampa 2 beater, the combination of the quick passes on this play along with the deeper routes make it difficult to defend. Having double drag routes is also effective in Madden 18.

Play: HB Stretch

Setup:

1. Motion the Y/Triangle receiver to the right of the screen

Reads:

1. Follow the blocks and either get to the outside or cut up the middle

Overview: The Stretch is a very popular and effective run play in Madden. The use of the motion gives an extra blocker to that side of the field creating more space for the running back.

Setup:

1. Motion the B/O to the right and hike after he takes two steps

Reads:

1. Follow the blocks

Overview: This play is necessary to complete the scheme in this formation. Without a Dive the defense would be able to key in on the Stretch play and the passes in the formation. Adding the Dive into the mix keeps the opponent guessing.

Play: PA Boot

Setup:

1. Put the X/Square receiver on a drag route
2. Put the A/X tight end on a drag route
3. Block the running back
4. Motion the B/O receiver to the right of the screen

Reads:

1. First look for the B/O receiver going to the sideline on the right of screen
2. If that is not there look for the A/X tight end on the drag route
3. Then look for the X/Square receiver on a drag route
4. Lastly, look for the Y/Triangle receiver deep over the middle

Overview: This play is very effective with the motioned route to the right side of the screen. It gets behind the zones when you pass lead it toward the sideline. While also having drag routes underneath to check down too.
