Playbook: Philadelphia Eagles
Formation: Singleback Deuce Close
Play: HB Wham
Setup:
- None
Reads:
- Follow the blockers
Overview: This is the most effective run in Madden 18 therefore it is necessary to incorporate it into the scheme. Also, being able to audible from Singleback Ace to Deuce Close and vice versa is very effective.
Playbook: Philadelphia Eagles
Formation: Singleback Deuce Close
Play: HB Stretch
Setup:
- None
Reads:
- Follow the blockers
Overview: The Stretch again is very effective is Madden and being able to audible to different formations yet use the same concepts makes it very difficult for your opponent to defend against.
Playbook: Philadelphia Eagles
Formation: Singleback Deuce Close
Play: TE Angle
Setup:
- None
Reads:
- The first read on this play is going to be the drag route to the B/O receiver
- If that is not there look for the A/X tight end on the angle route
- Then progress to the X/Square receiver on the corner route
- You have the running back out of the backfield as a check down
Overview: This play is used because we can audible to it from any of our formations and quick hike the opponent before they can adjust. Seeing that this play hot routes are not necessary it is a good way to confuse the opponent.
How are you giving us the same thing from another formation? None of this is new, in fact you have given us this at least twice before in different play books this year Alone. Come on guys
Yes you are 100% correct. This formation is not new in any way but most of the others are (with the exception of some of the Gun Bunch stuff).
If you are running this playbook though, you are putting yourself at a huge disadvantage though if you don’t run Singleback Deuce Close and Gun Bunch so the thinking was to re-include it.
