Singleback Ace Slot

Playbook: Run N’ Gun

Formation: Singleback Ace Slot

Play: DBL Post

Setup:

  1. Put the Y/Triangle receiver on a Streak
  2. Put the A/X Tight end on a drag route
  3. Put the B/O receiver on a drag route
  4. Block the running back
  5. Motion the X/Square receiver in a few steps and snap the ball

Reads:

  1. The main read on this play is the X/Square receiver deep on his Post route
  2. If that is not there look for the B/O receiver on his drag route
  3. Then look for the A/X tight end on his drag route
  4. Finally, look up the seam of the field to the Y/Triangle tight end on the streak

Overview: This play destroys any type of zone coverage the opponent will throw at you. It uses a mesh post route combination, and the X/Square receiver on the post will get behind all zones going to the right side of the field.

Playbook: Run N’ Gun

Formation: Singleback Ace Slot

Play: HB Dive

Setup:

  1. None Required

Reads:

  1. Follow the blockers

Overview: This HB Dive looks simple but it is an extremely effective run out of this formation. You are able to bounce it to the outside to the left or the right side of the field. Also, you can take the handoff straight up the middle as well if that is where the defense is weak.

Playbook: Run N’ Gun

Formation: Singleback Ace Slot

Play: Stretch Alert Bubble

Setup:

  1. None Required

Reads:

  1. Hand it off and follow the blockers
  2. Throw the Bubble Screen

Overview: This is one of the most effective runs in the game this is because man people use some sort of man coverage to stop the run. This play forces the strong side of the defense to be on the left while we run the ball to the right. If the opponent base aligns we can simply throw the Bubble Screen every time.

These are awesome plays. However, just so people know, while this formation is in other playbooks as the video says; the selection of plays in the other playbooks is not the same as they are in the Run N’ Gun playbook. So, there doesn’t seem to be a way to include these plays in any kind of custom playbook.

The Run n Gun outside runnning plays are tremendous, so these passing plays are fantastic additions
