Formation: Near Close Flex

Play: HB Inside

Setup: None Required

Overview: Just follow your blockers.

Formation: Near Close Flex

Play: Texas

Setup:

1. Put your X/square receiver on a drag route

Reads:

1. Throw to your A/X teceiver
2. Look to your X/square receiver on the drag route
3. The last read is your running back on the angle route

Overview: Run the dive first and then if they run commit, pass the next play with Texas. If they don’t run commit its an easy 3 or 4 yards with the dive.

Formation: Gun Tight Slots

Play: PA WR Seam

Setup:

1. Put your Y/triangle receiver on a hitch route
2. Put your A/X receiver on an out route

Reads:

1. Playmaker the hitch route (see video)
2. If he is covered, look to the X/square receiver on the deep crossinng route

Overview: This is a good play because you have the X/Square route that really doesn’t get covered by any zone so they have to user it. Then you have the hitch that makes them choose between two routes.

Formation: Gun Tight Slots

Play: Bench Switch

Setup:

1. Put your A/X receiver on a flat route
2. Put your running back on a streak route
3. Put your Y/triangle receiver on an in route
4. Smart route the B/circle receiver

Reads:

1. Low ball pass to the B/circle receiver in the end zone
2. Then look to the Y/triangle receiver on an in route
3. If he is covered, scramble with the QB.

Overview: This is very effective in the red zone if they run hard flats. It should be open basically every time as long as their user doesn’t cover it, which they for sure will not the first time you run it.
