Playbook: New Orleans Saints
Formation: Pistol Bunch TE
Play: Verticals
Setup:
- Max Protect
- Put your B/circle receiver on an in route and smart route him
- Smart route your Y/triangle receiver
Reads:
- Against cover 3, cover 2, and cover 2 man, your Y/triangle receiver should get open deep

Playbook: New Orleans Saints
Formation: Pistol Bunch TE
Play: Fake Screen (Man Beater)
Setup:
- Hot route your X/square receiver to a drag route
- Max Protect
- (Optional) Hot route your Y/triangle receiver to a streak route
Reads:
- Against any man to man defense, you want to hit the B/circle receiver right as he makes his cut back inside (lead pass up).
Overview: This play should work great 1 or 2 times before your opponent catches on. If your opponent over plays the trail route, then feel free to hit the drag route instead.
Playbook: New Orleans Saints
Formation: Pistol Bunch TE
Play: Cross Drag
Setup:
- Block your running back
- Put your tight end on a streak route
- Motion your X/square receiver to the left
Reads:
- Your first read is the B/circle receiver on the drag route
- If he is covered, look to the Y/triangle receiver on the crossing route
- Finally, look to the X/square receiver on the deep in
Overview: Cross Drag is one of those classic route combinations that is difficult for someone to user against. You have 3 good options who all come open at different times so it is a fairly easy progression.
What setting do you guys have it on?
We film everything on All-Madden Competitive.
I only asked because I was in practice mode running with the Chiefs and the defense was reacting differently from your videos. Especially with the Pistol Bunch Vertical play. I’m not getting allot of separation
Verticals takes way too long to set up. I have a receiver with 96 spd running the route, Josh Allen throwing the ball, and my o-line in max protect. If I throw before my receiver crosses the safety, it’ll result in an interception against an All Madden defense almost every time. If I wait until the receiver crosses the safety, I’m either getting hit as I throw and or sacked.
Do what you feel is comfortable, they might have patched it we never know
