Formation: Nickel 3-3-5

Play: Cover 1 Robber Press

Setup:

1. Set your curl flat zone depths at either 20 or 25 yards in the coaching adjustments screen
2. Man Align
3. Shade Coverage Over The Top
4. Put the blitzing linebacker into a curl flat
5. Put the safety on the other side into a curl flat
6. User either the MLB who is on the RB or the free safety in the deep blue zone (put them on a blitz) and take away anything over the middle

Overview: This is one of those coverages that is always popular in Madden. You have to be aware of matchups so if you have a really slow cornerback on a fast WR you may want to back him up or put safety help over the top. By putting the guy you are usering on a blitz, you make sure your opponent isn’t able to trigger the 3 man rush pancake animation on a run play

Setup:

1. Blitz one of the LBs in the yellow zones and user him to take away the middle of the field

Overview: Cover 4 Drop from Nickel 3-3-5 is one of the better coverage plays in the game if you are looking for something with very few adjustments. The fact that you can get up to 5 safeties on the field in this formation mixed with Cover 4 Drop being a difficult defense to beat deep makes this a great coverage for beginners.
