Every year, EA Sports adds a few new plays and formations to Madden. This year a new formation in what looks to be the Patriots playbook should be an early favorite of many Madden gamers.
The formation is called Gun Wing Flex Offset. As you can see in the images below, there are a lot of things you can do with it.
Particularly, the PA Double Post and Wheel Post Drag plays could give people trouble in Madden 18.

There are somewhat similar plays and similar formations but this formation is definitely new.
I will definitly try this formation. I use some Pats Formations from the shotgun in my custom-playbook, because they offer some route-combinations you can’t find in another formation. I helps a lot against good lb-users.
The Patriots playbook does have some really unique route combinations. It is a great place to start for a pass first custom playbook.
Pats playbook with a read option play? Hmm…
Why cant i use near and far formations in the custom playbook will this issue be solved with an update ?
