Madden NFL 16 New York Giants Team Breakdown

The New York Giants have Madden NFL 16 cover athlete Odell Beckham Jr. on their team team as well as a pretty powerful passing game.  The running game leaves a lot to be desired and the defense isn’t as good as it has been in the past.  All in all the Giants are a team that true fans can use but they aren’t an elite team.

Team: New York Giants

Offensive Strategy: Get the ball to Odell Beckham Jr. and Victor Cruz.  The new catches and renewed focus on the passing game in Madden 16 works out well for the Giants.  Just get the ball in the hands of your playmakers.  Every now and then hand the ball off to keep the defense honest.

Defensive Strategy: Sacks and interceptions.  Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Prince Amukamara should be able to get at least 1 or 2 interceptions each game.  Jason Pierre-Paul is one of the most fearsome pass rushers in the league and rookie Owamagbe Odighizuwa can create pressure as well.

Impact Players: QB Eli Manning, HB Andre Williams, WR Odell Beckham Jr., WR Victor Cruz, RE Jason Pierre-Paul, DT Johnathan Hankins, CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, CB Prince Amukamara

Key Newcomers: RT Ereck Flowers, LE Owamagbe Odighizuwa, SS Landon Collins

Strengths: The passing game and cornerbacks.  Eli Manning can make all the throws, Odell Beckham Jr. is a top 5 playmaking receiver in Madden 16, and Victor Cruz is always dangerous because of his speed rating.

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Prince Amukamara form one of the best cornerback duos in Madden 16.  They should be able to shut down any receivers they face without too much help in coverage.

Weaknesses: Linebackers and the running game.  The Giants don’t have any big time playmakers at linebacker.  You’ll need to find a way to make up for that if you plan on using the Giants in any sort of competitive Madden 16 game.

Andre Williams is a bruiser who can pick up a few yards at a time, but he is far from the ideal Madden running back.  Fortunately, the Giants have a good quarterback and a couple of good receivers.

Overview: To put it plainly, the Giants are pretty much average in Madden 16.  Although they aren’t necessarily a bad team like the Jacksonville Jaguars, we don’t consider them to be a team you will want to play with unless you are a Giants fan.
