Madden 15 is finally the year that Browns fans have been waiting for.  Over the last 5 years, it has been just about impossible to play with the Browns against a good team.  Due to a strong 2014 NFL draft (in terms of Madden) and a few good free agent signings, the Browns are finally in a position to compete.

Team: Cleveland Browns

Offensive Strategy: Let Johnny Manziel create.  You have all kinds of options with Manziel at QB.  Incorporate a steady mix of different formations, option plays, qb draws, short passing plays, and taking shots down the field when you can.  Ben Tate is a pretty good Madden running back so make sure not to forget about him

Defensive Strategy: Attacking 3-4 defense.  The Browns have everything they need to not only put pressure on the quarterback consistently but also to lock down receivers, stop the run, and force fumbles every now and then.

Strengths: All around dominant Madden defense.  When it comes to Madden 15, the Browns have a top 10 Madden defense. It could be argued even top 5.  Run stoppers on the defensive line, great pass rushers at outside linebackers, 2 lockdown corners, and one of the hardest hitting safeties in the game will make the Browns defense something to be feared.

Weaknesses: Fairly weak offense. There is no doubt that Johnny Football is going to be a very big weapon in Madden 15.  But if Ben Tate doesn’t have a few good games to start the 2014 NFL season, his ratings won’t progress like they should.  If EA Sports decides to remove Josh Gordon from their Browns depth chart early in the season, that could spell trouble.  However, If everything goes right for the Browns (Josh Gordon is available and Ben Tate progresses in roster updates) this negative is quickly turned into a positive.

Impact Players: QB Johnny Manziel, HB Ben Tate, WR Josh Gordon, TE Jordan Cameron, LT Joe Thomas, C Alex Mack, DE Ahtyba Rubin, DT Phil Taylor, LOLB Paul Kruger, MLB Karlos Dansby, ROLB Jabaal Sheard, ROLB Barkevious Mingo, CB Joe Haden, CB Justin Gilbert, SS Donte Whitner

Key Newcomers: CB Justin Gilbert, QB Johnny Manziel, HB Ben Tate, WR Miles Austin, SS Donte Whitner, MLB Karlos Dansby

Additional Remarks: The Browns have quickly went from a joke within the Madden community to a legitimate option that you will see many teams use in Madden NFL 15.  They still have some work to do however before they reach elite status.
