Madden 20: Pistol Bunch TE – Cross Drag

In today’s Madden School tip, we are going over a way to beat every common zone defense in the game out of the Pistol Bunch TE formation.

Playbook: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Formation: Pistol Bunch TE

Play: Cross Drag

Setup:

1. Put the X/Square receiver on a streak
2. Block the running back
3. Motion the X/Square receiver to the right side of the field

Reads:

1. The main read on this play is going to be the Y/Triangle receiver on his crosser
2. If that is not there look for either the A/X tight end or the B/O receiver on his drag route

Overview: This play will work great against just about any zone coverage in the game. Cover 2, Cover 3, and Cover 4 drops will be vulnerable to this play as shown in the video.
