Madden 18: Singleback Wing Tight – Stick Nod Vertical

In this Madden 18 tip, we are going over a really easy money play you can use to get 15 yards at a time against pretty much any defense in the game.

Playbook: Jacksonville Jaguars

Formation: Singleback Wing Tight

Play: Stick Nod Vertical

Setup:

1. Hot route your Y/triangle receiver to a slant route
2. Hot route your running back to block

Reads:

1. Your first read is always your Y/triangle receiver as he gets to the sideline
2. Your X/square receiver is a really nice bailout if you don’t want to throw to the Y/triangle option.

Overview: This play beats all kinds of coverages in Madden 18.  It takes a minute or 2 to get the timing down so make sure to try it out before using it in an important game.

Lets take a closer look at how that play worked…

This is how everything will look right before we snap the ball.

We snap the ball and we can see at this point, no one is really open so we have to wait a little longer.  If we are under pressure at this point, we do have our X/square receiver underneath.

This is about when you should throw it.  You can see that our Y/triangle tight end is about even with that deep cornerback.  We’ll lead pass to the sideline.

We make the catch, right along the sideline for about a 12-13 yard gain.
