In today’s Madden School tip, Mazin is going over a defense that looks identical to a previous play he covered, but bring pressure from the other side of the screen.

Formation: 4-3 Over Plus (Flipped)
Play: Mike Blitz 3
Setup:
- Base Align
- Shift your linebackers to the right
- Crash your defensive line to the left
- (Optional) Put the defensive end on the right side of the screen into a zone.
Overview: Â This is another great blitz we have from the same look that we showcased in the other blitz from Mike Sam 2 Buzz. This blitz however comes screaming right through the left A gap untouched.
It is another hard blitz for the offense to account for because with the LB shift to the right, it gives the appearance that the blitz may be coming off the right edge. This may cause our opponent to account for pressure of the right side and then will have them blindsided by the left A gap pressure.

This is how the play should look before the ball is snapped. Â Feel free to adjust the zones however you’d like.
You can see the pressure comes from our middle linebacker shooting through the A-gap between the center and the left guard.
The play results in a sack and a big loss for the offense.
