Today the newest member of the Madden School team, Villian, is going over a nice Madden 17 mini scheme out of the Singleback Tight Doubles formation. It takes advantage of motioning the tight end into the backfield which creates some pretty glaring mismatches against a lot of defenses.

Playbook: Baltimore Ravens
Formation: Singleback Tight Doubles
Play: PA Inside Cross
Setup:
- Motion TE to the left, he will rest in the Fullback position
- Slide protect to the right
Reads:
- TE coming out of the backfield, escaping through the middle of the cover 3
- Hot Read: The inside right WR
- The outside right WR, if the TE is guarded by a user
Overview: This play is strictly a Cover 3 and Cover 3 shell beater. Against a stock cover 3 the tight end should come open for a bullet pass no problem. It is important to note that your tight end is running through the line of scrimmage and may potentially be caught up in traffic. If this is the case rifle through your other two reads on the play (the crossing routes).
Against the blitz we are going to cancel the play action and drive the quarterback hard back so that he completes a quick 5 step drop. Take one step to the right if necessary to buy time and the tight end will come open just as he does against the stock cover 3.

Setup:
- Motion TE to left, snap when he arrives at the full back position
Overview: On this run, you can look to cut back where the tight end blocks if the original running lane is closed.

Setup:
- Motion the TE to the left
- Streak the outside left WR
Reads:
- The slot receiver onm the drag route is your first look
- The tight end lined up in the fullback position is your second read
Overview: This is a good passing play to mix in to prevent your opponent from keying in on the PA Inside Cross play.
