This week, the focus on our madden 10 has been all about the pass blocking improvements. This early screenshot shows how much more realistic the pass blocking looks compared to madden 09. Finally, after 20 years of waiting, there is a realistic looking pocket in the game.
In the above picture, the Carolina Panthers offensiveline led by perennial probowler Jordan Gross is handling the Tamp Bay Buccaneers. The huge spaces that are between the offensive lineman look realistic, but unless the AI of the offensive line is upgraded, I fear that nano blitzes could again be effective in Madden 10.
Only 2 more months and we will get our chance to see.
