Play: Y Sail

Setup:

1. (Optional) Put your Y/triangle receiver on a drag route

Reads:

1. Your first read is always your running back in the flat
2. If he is covered, look to your tight end on the corner route

Overview: The route that the running back is on is really hard to defend.  It is usually good for 4-6 yards.

Setup:  None Required

Overview: This is a really effective running play.  You may want to bounce it outside sometimes.  Other times, it makes more sense to keep it inside.

Reads:

1. Your main read on this play is your running back coming out of the backfield

Overview: This play works against both man and zone defenses and doesn’t require much pre-snap setup.  It is a great play to call when you need to convert on something like 3rd and 5.

Play: Skinny Posts

Setup:

1. Put your slot receiver on a slant
2. Put your tight end on a streak route
3. Put your running back on a swing to the right

Reads:

1. Your first read is the B/circle receiver on the post route
2. You can also look to your slot receiver on the slant route

Overview: This is a really effective play to mix into this scheme.
