How To Flip Your Play In Madden 22

It is a pretty common to call a play on offense and then want to flip the play so it can be done to the other side of the field.

Flipping a play (sometimes 2 or 3 times) is something that the top Madden players in the world do. It makes it harder for the defense to make adjustments and can give you other advantages on offense.

We’re going to go into it in detail below.

Step 1: Call your play at the play call screen

You have the option to flip your play before you even get on the field. To do this on XBOX One hit the RT button or the R2 button on PS4.

Step 2: (Optional) Flick the right joystick to the right or left

On many running plays, you have the option to flip the direction of the run without flipping the entire formation. To do this just hit the right stick to the left or right. Go on to the next steps to learn how to flip the entire play.

Step 3: Hit X on XBOX One or Square on PS4

This brings up the audible screen and will allow you to flip the play from there.

Step 4: Hit RT on XBOX One or R2 on the PS4

This will instruct the game to flip your entire formation and play so all of the routes are switched to the other side.

Step 5: Repeat steps 3-4 as needed

You may want to flip your play back to the way it was originally to throw the defense off. Every time you flip the play, it will put pressure on the defense to change their adjustments.

Now that you know how to flip your plays and formations in Madden, take it into a game and see how it works for you!
