Setup:
- Hot route the X/square receiver to a comeback route
- Hot route the tight end to a steak route
Reads:
- Against cover 3 or cover 4 defenses, quick pass to the X/square receiver on the left. Lead pass to the sideline
- Against cover 2 defenses, pass to the tight end up the middle. Lead pass to the middle of the field.
- The Y/triangle receiver will get open against any coverage on the post route
Overview: This play has solid reads against every common coverage you will face. Practice reading the slot cornerback and outside cornerback on the left side so you know when to throw to the X/square receiver.

Setup:
- Hot route your X/square receiver to a smoke screen
- Do whatever you would like with your receivers on the other side of the field (see video for options)
Reads:
- Your primary read on this play is always the Y/triangle on the corner route
- If he is covered, you can look to the X/square receiver on the smoke screen or the receivers on the other side of the field

Reads:
- The primary read on this play is the Y/triangle against cover 2 defenses. Lead pass to the sideline (see video for timing)
- Against cover 3 defenses, look to the B/circle receiver on the out route
Overview: This play absolutely destroys cover 2 defenses.

Setup:

- Hot route the Y/triangle to a smart routed in route
- Hot route the tight end to a block and release streak route
- Double team the outside most rusher on the left side
Reads:
- Against cover 4 defenses, buy time by rolling to the left and lead pass to the sideline to the B/circle receiver
- Against cover 2 defenses, look to the B/circle receiver deep. Lead pass up
Overview: This is a shot play that we use when our opponent starts calling cover 4 drop. The goal of calling this play is to get our opponent out of cover 4.

Setup:
- Put the B/circle receiver on smart routed out route
- Put your other receivers on whatever routes work best for you
Reads:
- The main read on this play is the B/circle receiver on the smart routed out route. Against any defense but a cover 2 zone, your B/circle receiver should get open.
Overview: This play requires timing and quickly reading the defense after the snap.

- Put the Y/triangle receiver on a smart routed out route
- Put the tight end on a streak route
- Motion the X/square receiver to the right
- Put the 2 wide receivers on the right on a drag and an in route
Reads:
- The main read on this play is the X/square receiver deep against cover 3 defenses. Lead pass to the sideline.
Overview: This is a shot play that results in a 1 play touchdown against cover 3 defenses. Only run it when you are on the right hash mark or in the middle of the field.

Setup:
- Hot route the B/circle receiver to a flat route
- Hot route the X/square receiver to a drag route
Reads:
- Your first read on this play is the tight end. (See video for timing against different coverages)
- If he is covered, wait for the B/circle receiver to get open on the deep in route
- Then look to the X/square receiver underneath on the drag route
Overview: Mix this play in every now and then to give your opponent something extra to think about.

Setup:
- Hot route the X/square receiver to an out route and motion him to the left
Reads:
- Look to the running back on the out route. He will be open against any coverage except hard flats.
Overview: This concept can be used from any play in this formation and isn’t specific to this play. By calling this play a few times, it forces your opponent to use hard flats or take his user way out of the play.

Setup:
- Motion the X/square receiver to the right
- Do whatever you would like with your receivers on the right
- Double team the outside most rusher on the left
Reads:
- Against cover 2 defenses, look to throw it to the Y/triangle receiver. Lead pass to the sideline
- Against other defenses, look to the X/square receiver on the corner route. Lead pass up.
Overview: Only call this play if you are on the right hashmark or in the middle of the field. It will not work if you are on the left hashmark.

Setup:
- Put your X/square receiver on a comeback route
- Put your Y/triangle receiver on a streak route
- Put your tight end on a streak route
- Do whatever you want with the WRs on the right
- Double team the outside pass rusher on the left
Reads:
- Against cover 3 defense, throw to the Y/triangle receiver on the streak route. Lead pass to the sideline
Overview: Only call this play if you are expecting a cover 3 defense and are either in the middle of the field or on the right hash mark. This concept can be done from any play.

Setup:
- Hot route the X/square receiver to a smoke screen
- Put the Y/triangle receiver on a streak route
Reads:
- The Y/triangle receiver will get wide open deep. Lead pass to the sideline
Overview: This concept can also be done from any play in this formation. It works best from Saints Corner and Saints Drag because of the special streak route the Y/triangle receiver is on which is even more effective than the regular streak route we hot route into.

Setup:
- Hot route the running back to a drag route
Reads:
- The running back on the drag route is open against just about every coverage for a quick pass. Just make sure your opponent’s user isn’t in the area.
Overview: This concept can be done from any play in this formation as well.

Play: Any Play (Delayed Routes)
Setup:
- Just put your tight end on a delayed streak route
- (Optional) Motion your X/square receiver in and put him on a delayed route as well
Reads:
- Just let the receivers clear out and then release your delayed routes.
Overview: Using delayed routes puts a lot of strain on your opponent’s user because he can’t drop too far back or to the sideline. He has to stay in the middle of the field because we can release our tight end at any time.

Play: Audibling From Gun Tight Offset TE or Into Singleback Doubles
Setup:
- Come out in the Gun Tight Offset TE formation while using the HB1 package. This will get 4 receivers on the field.
- Then audible into Gun Empty Y-Saint
Overview: This is a way to get a wide receiver lined up at the tight end position which will make your tight end a huge matchup problem.

- Make sure you are on the right hash mark
- Put your tight end on a streak route
- Put your R1/RB slot receiver on a smart routed out route
- Motion the B/circle receiver to the left and put him on a streak route
- (Optional) Double team the outside most pass rusher on the right side and roll slightly to the right
Reads:
- Your main read on this play is the tight end on the streak route against cover 3 defenses. Lead pass to the sideline.
Overview: Usually we are attacking Cover 3 defenses on the left side of the field, but it is important to show that we can also attack it on the right.
