Playbook: Baltimore Ravens
Formation: Gun Deuce Close
Play: PoCo X Dig
Setup:
- Max Protect
- Put the A/X tight end on a streak route
- Put the X/square receiver on a drag route
Reads:
- Your first read is the drag route
- If he is covered, the B/circle receiver gets open against just about any coverage
Overview: This play is deadly but takes some time to develop which is why we are blocking 2 extra guys
Playbook: Baltimore Ravens
Formation: Gun Deuce Close
Play: Lead Read Option
Setup: None required
Overview: This is our go-to running play from this formation. Always hand it off to your running back.
Playbook: Baltimore Ravens
Formation: Gun Deuce Close
Play: PA Deep Cross
Setup:
- Hot route your X/square receiver to a streak
- Block your running back
- Put the A/X tight end on a drag route
- You can either block your Y/triangle tight end or put him on a drag route or curl route
Reads:
- Your first read on this play is the A/X tight end on the drag route
- If he is covered, your B/circle receiver will likely be open deep
- If he is also covered, look to your Y/triangle tight end
Overview: This play has great protection and a really easy high/low read. It will be hard for your opponent to cover both the tight end and the B/circle receiver.
Playbook: Baltimore Ravens
Formation: Gun Deuce Close
Play: Bench Swap (Version 1)
Setup:
- Motion your Y triangle receiver to the right and put him to a wheel route
- Put the A/X tight end on a flat route
- Put the running back on a wheel route or swing route to the right
- (Optional) Put the X/square receiver on an in route
Reads:
- Your only read on this play is a quick pass to the running back on the swing pass
Overview: This play is a make-shift screen play that gets excellent blocking. It can even work against hard flats. The only thing it won’t work against is man to man defense or your opponent user defending it.
Playbook: Baltimore Ravens
Formation: Gun Deuce Close
Play: Bench Swap (Version 2)
Setup:
- Motion your Y/triangle receiver to the right then put him on a swing route
- Then motion him back to the left
Reads:
- This is a really simple 2 man read between the swing route the right end is running and the X/square receiver on the corner route (lead pass down)
- You can do whatever you want with your other 3 eligible receivers
Overview: This can be a really tough play to defend because the tight end running the swing route starts 5 yards in front of where most swing passes start.
