Gun Bunch

Playbook: Philadelphia Eagles

Formation: Gun Bunch

Play: Corner Strike Version 1

Setup:

  1. Drag the slot WR (A/X)
  2. (Optional) Block HB

Reads:

  1. High low to the corner/flat
  2. High low to the c route/HB
  3. Look to the drag receiver

Overview:  This is a very simple setup that works extremely well. You can easily read a high low on either side of the field, and then you also have a quick pressure release right across the middle.

Play: Corner Strike Version 2

Setup:

  1. Streak the slot WR(A/X)
  2. Drag the single side WR

Reads:

  1. High low to the TE and the Corner Route
  2. Fade
  3. Drag across the field

Overview:  This is similar to our first version of corner strike, but this time we are really going to emphasize attacking the bunch side of the field by flooding the sideline and also bringing the single WR across on a drag.

Formation: Gun Bunch

Play: Z Spot N Go

Setup:

  1. Fade the outside bunch WR
  2. Put the single side WR on an in route and smart route him

Reads:

  1. Corner route
  2. Playmaker the corner route up the field
  3. Bomb to the fade route if it is open
  4. Dig route across the field

Overview:  This play is our big hitter out of the gun bunch formation. We have 2 routes that work extremely well off each other on the same side with the fade that we can bomb, and the corner that we can playmaker. In case either of those are not open, we will have the backside Dig route. If nothing is open, throw the ball away. There is no need to force a covered throw in this offense.

Playbook: Philadelphia Eagles

Formation: Gun Bunch

Play: Bunch Trail

Setup:

  1. Put the outside bunch WR on a hitch route
  2. Max Protect

Reads:

  1. Corner route vs man or a hard flat
  2. Playmaker hitch to either the inside or outside
  3. Post over the middle

Overview:  This play is very unique especially in this scheme because it is going to really be our only play out of bunch where our single side WR is going to attack the deep middle of the field. We add onto this by giving us an extra 2 options with the playmaker hitch, so although we max protect and block 7 we still have 4 options to pass to.

Playbook: Philadelphia Eagles

Formation: Gun Bunch

Play: HB Base

Setup:  No adjustments necessary

Overview:  This is a great run play to mix in which will compliment our passing plays nicely and keep our opponent honest on defense.

Playbook: Philadelphia Eagles

Formation: Gun Bunch

Play: PA Post

Setup:

  1. Put the outside bunch WR on either on a drag, in route, or keep on slant and motion snap
  2. Drag the TE

Reads:

  1. Drag to the TE
  2. C route to the sideline
  3. High low with our 2 WRs over the middle

Overview:  This is a great switch up because it allows us to flood the field opposite of the bunch side, which our other plays really focus on attacking. We set our opponent up by having multiple different ways to flood the bunch side, and then break out this play and attack the other side of the field. We have the drag to the create a high low with the C route, and then our two backside routes which will also create a high low over the middle.

In PA post, if you run the C route to the short side of the field and low pass its money every single time or unless they start usering against it, but that leads to almost any other receiver open
