A few weeks ago, EA announced the seven players that would represent Madden 19’s “99 Club”. These seven athletes would be the top-rated players in EA’s latest game, and set the bar for the rest of the NFL. This was strange, because despite knowing which players would be top-rated or who would grace the cover of the Madden 19 Hall of Fame edition, uncertainty remained at who would be on the cover of this year’s standard edition.
Today, EA announced that the cover athlete for the standard edition of Madden 19, would be the best wide receiver in the game today, Antonio Brown.
Antonio Brown will officially grace the cover of Madden 19, and EA released this hype trailer to get us all excited.

Today Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA) officially unveiled the Madden NFL 19 and Madden NFL Overdrive cover athlete featuring Pittsburgh Steelers star Wide Receiver, Antonio Brown. The star, known for his entertaining end zone celebrations, was also announced as part of the Madden 99 Club last month, taking his place amongst an elite group of players rated 99 OVR.

Fans can also look forward to the continuation of last year’s first-ever Madden NFL story-mode with the return of Longshot: Homecoming. Players will have more control over Devin Wade and Colt Cruise’s football quest with more NFL gameplay, more ways to impact the story, new storylines, and the ability to continue their Longshot journey within Franchise and Ultimate Team.
Players who purchase Madden NFL 19 Hall of Fame Edition can get into the full game up to three-days early* starting August 7th, while EA Access† and Origin Access‡ members can demo Madden NFL 19 for 10 hours, starting August 2nd on Xbox One and Origin for PC. Origin Access Premier‡ members can look forward to the full Madden NFL 19 game on PC, with access starting before anyone else, on August 2nd.
