The Indianapolis Colts have a very solid team again for Madden 15. As long as your defense can get a few stops per game, this Colts team will have a good chance of winning any virtual gridiron battle. We have the full Colts analysis below.
Team: Indianapolis Colts
Offensive Strategy: The Colts have options all over the field. They have 3 or 4 good Madden receivers with 2 solid tight ends and very underrated running backs. Andrew Luck can make any throw and can also run when needed. All of this means you have the flexibility to run whatever type of offense suits you best instead of being forced to do one thing.
Defensive Strategy: Attacking 3-4. You should do whatever you can do get Robert Mathis free. Your nano blitzes and schemes should be designed so that Mathis is the one that gets free because he is your best bet at getting to the quarterback quickly and forcing fumbles. Vontae Davis is a very good Madden cornerback and Laron Landry is a machine at forcing fumbles.
Strengths: Offense. The Colts offense has so many layers to it. Even though Trent Richardson struggled a little last year, he is still a very dangerous Madden 15 running back because of his speed and strength ratings. Andrew Luck is one of the best young quarterbacks in the game and he has weapons all around him.
Weaknesses: Front 7. Outside of Robert Mathis, the Colts front 7 isn’t all that good when it comes to Madden. If opposing teams focus on neutralizing Mathis, it will be hard for the Colts to get pressure on the quarterback in Madden 15.
Impact Players: QB Andrew Luck, HB Trent Richardson, WR Reggie Wayne, WR T.Y. Hilton, WR Hakeem Nicks, TE Dwayne Allen, TE Coby Fleener, DE Cory Redding, MLB Mario Harvey, MLB Jerrell Freeman, OLB Robert Mathis, CB Vontae Davis, SS Laron Landry
Key Newcomers: WR Hakeem Nicks, DE Arthur Jones, WR Donte Moncrief, ML D’Qwell Jackson, SS Mike Adams
Additional Remarks: The Colts are one of the most versatile teams in Madden 15 and will be very tough to stop with the right person on the controller. If you can find a way to bring consistent pressure on defense, the Colts will be a nightmare.
