Madden 15 Best Players At Every Position

Every year we get asked who the best players at each position are.  Most people understand that the best players in Madden 15 aren’t simply the highest rated.  They are usually pretty highly rated but have other important things like a good speed rating or above average height.  Below we have compiled a list of the best players  at each position (not in any particular order) for Madden NFL 15.  This is by no means an exhaustive list but it is a pretty good starting point.

This list applies to Madden NFL 15 on the PlayStation 3, XBOX 360, PlayStation 4, and XBOX One.

If you think we left anyone out or if you have a problem with someone that is on the list that you think shouldn’t be, leave a comment below.

Why is Manziel even on this list while guys like Brees or Roethlisberger are left off?

    • Madden-School says:

I can guarantee you that Manziel will be more used than Roethlisberger (and maybe Brees as well). If you were trying to trade for Manziel in a competitive league, it would take more than trading for Roethlisberger. Both those guys are great qbs though and much better than Manziel in the NFL but this list is strictly talking Madden.

    • terelle says:

I’m a brees fan but his deep throw is weak and the game doesn’t do a good job portraying his pocket presence.

  • Simmer says:

Best linebackers? Yeah let’s leave out the inaugural winner of the deacon award, which is given to the sack leader. Also one of the best defensive players over the last 10 years. Robert Mathis.

  • Joseph says:

Why isn’t Vince wilfork on this?

  • Westin says:

Gould is one of the best kickers in the NFL 1 or 2 get him up there. He has his stats in one of the windiest city’s in the country

    • Madden-School says:

When it comes to kickers and punters in Madden, all that matters is their kick power rating.

      • P-Town says:

I’ll take kick power over anything cause i can kick a 63 yard fg with an kicker with a rating 9 4 or 96 with an 70 accuracy. So kick power is theonly thing..

      • James says:

madden-school, get your facts right!! Robbie Gould have a 96 KPW on Madden 15! Don’t believe me, check EA Sports yourself.

  • Berod says:

Where is Vontae Davis, the cornerback for the Colts? He should be rated as a top 5 cornerback in the game as he is a top 5 cornerback in real life.

    • Ryan says:

I wouldn’t replace one guy on that list for that dude. Remember he got cut by the dolphins? I mean come on. You have to have a few GREAT seasons to be considered top 5. And Vince wilfork? Haha. He is so old. It’s a young mans league

  • Aaron says:

Josh Gordon was better than everyone there except Calvin Johnson last season.

    • Madden-School says:

He was left off because he might not be playable in certain modes in Madden 15 due to his suspension.

      • P-Town says:

Hey can y’all put back CB lockdown?
That’s when you assign an CB to a WR that you want to lockdown for the hole game can y’all please think about putting that back on the game. Thanks

  • Joseph says:

Take out Robert Quinn and add wilfork

    • Madden-School says:

I think a lot of people would disagree with you on that one. Robert Quinn was the highest rated LE at the end of Madden 25. Had 19 sacks last year, good speed, strength and overall ratings, and is 24 years old.

  • Joseph says:

True. Why do you gotta take out someone to add big Vince?

  • Habs says:

Mike Wallace still deserves to be on that list, so does Brent Grimes and Danelle Ellerby. And yes….I’m a Fins fan

    • Habs says:

And I have a problem with Manziel being on the list. Just goes to show the influence of media hype. Just another rookie until he shows otherwise

  • Justyn Yahle says:

I think you should put Vontaze Burfict (Most tackles in NFL since he has been in the League, shoulda won Defensive Rookie of the Year, and would have if he started the first couple weeks his first year for the Bengals) on there under linebackers.. I also think Michael Johnson needs to be considered a top DE. Best Defensive Linemen Available in Free Agency doesn’t make the list? :(

  • Brandon says:

Tyron Smith allows one sack all season, doesn’t make the list…….seems legit ????

  • Mike says:

Why are guys like Clay Matthews, Robert Mathis, Drew Brees, Tyron Smith, Jared Allen, and plenty of others, left off the lists even though they are better than those on the lists? And don’t say bc they weren’t as good last year or bc they are older. (D. Ware, T. Polamalu, C. Johnson are on the lists and refute that statement)

  • Kenny says:

Evan Mathis & Jason Peters belong on best OL list. Best left side in Madden.

    • Rich says:

Maybe throw Jason Kelce in there too. The Eagles have easily the best line in the NFL, I don’t know how none of their O-linemen got on the list.

  • SKIP4444 says:

What about Barkevious Mingo as a linebacker? In M25, he was a beast after a half-season in any Franchise League. Tall, fast, and young… all the physical tools to be great.

  • Nook says:

Antonio Brown. Y he isn’t on the list

  • STiiCKZz says:

Dri Archer will be one of the most electrifying rookies in madden this year
Dwight Freeney should be on the LB list.
and with the new passing mechanics Manziel may not be as effective as everyone thinks, but, that remains to be seen.

  • Apollos86 says:

Clay Matthews is better than several of the linebackers on the list. If he was left off due to injury, I can live with that, but he should be there based on talent.

Also, if kick power is all that matters in Madden, why on earth did you leave off Mason Crosby?

  • Adonis says:

This has to be random picks because you don’t even have Bree’s on here and he’s top 4

  • Jihaad says:

    Where is nick foles

  • Donte says:

What about Charles Johnson and Greg Hardy???? And yes I am a Panthers fan….

  • Nexgen76 says:

No Greg Hardy when he finish third in sacks & lead the league in Qb pressures……Wow
